Winston Churchill on pacifism

Winston Churchill said this, in his inimitable way:
The Sermon on the Mount is the last word in Christian ethics. Everyone respects the Quakers. Still, it is not on these terms that Ministers assume their responsibilities of guiding States.

  2. The post is a chaser to the one on the Methodists, below. They assume moral superiority over the Bush administration, neverminding that he's freed a whole helluva lot of people that the bishops would never have been concerned about otherwise.
