"Islam is a religion of peace! These terrorists are not real Muslims!"

These sentiments are already making the rounds in response to the al-Shabaab attack on Westgate mall in Nairobi, Kenya. My stock answer is this: "No one is in charge of Islam. Whatever Muslims do in the name of Islam, that's what Islam is. The tree is known by its fruit."
